Following criminal charges for impaired driving, Société de l’Assurance Automobile du Québec (SAAQ) will automatically suspend your license for a period of 90 days. During this suspension, it is possible that they requires you to submit to a summary assessment to evaluate the risk of recurrence.
Failure to submit this assessment or to fail when completing it, your drivers’s licence suspension will automatically be extended. Failing a Summary Assessment In case the summary assessment is not favorable, you must pass a second assessment : Comprehensive assessment of the risk of recurrence.
